About Me
I am Sebastian Galloway, a passionate and growth-focused Computer Science graduate from Florida International University. I am currently preparing to begin my full-time role as an IT Applications Programmer at Progressive Insurance, where I will help build and support large-scale software systems that impact thousands of users. As a lead Robotics/Coding Instructor at Code Ninjas and Gen2050, I designed and led engaging programs that inspired young learners to build creativity, resilience, and hands-on problem-solving through coding and robotics.
Previously, as a Software Engineering Fellow at HeadStarter AI, I worked on cutting-edge AI projects alongside talented peers, deepening my skills in collaborative development and applied machine learning. My involvement in CodePath's Technical Interview Prep program strengthened my algorithmic thinking and technical problem-solving abilities, while my participation in ColorStack reflects my commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion in tech.
My academic journey at FIU includes projects like a machine learning stock predictor, a stock analytics dashboard, and a cancer treatment outcome prediction tool — all bridging the gap between theory and impactful, real-world solutions. Above all, I am passionate about building meaningful, human-centered technology that improves lives. Whether working in diverse teams, mentoring others, or pushing myself to grow, I am committed to making a positive, lasting contribution in the tech industry and beyond.
