I am Sebastian Galloway, a dedicated and innovative Computer Science graduate from Florida International University. As a Software Engineering Fellow at HeadStarter AI , I have deepened my skills in artificial intelligence and software engineering by collaborating with peers on cutting-edge projects. My involvement in CodePath's Technical Interview Prep pathway has sharpened my ability to solve challenging algorithmic problems and excel in technical interviews, while my participation in ColorStack fuels my commitment to diversity and inclusion in tech, aiming to increase the representation of Black and Latinx students in computing.
At Code Ninjas and Gen2050 , I taught and led programming and robotics programs year-round as a lead Robotics/Coding Instructor, nurturing competitiveness, creativity, and problem-solving skills in young learners. My academic journey at Florida International University includes comprehensive coursework in software engineering, artificial intelligence, and database management, providing a strong foundation in computer science. Through projects like a machine learning stock predictor, a stock analytics dashboard, and a cancer treatment outcome prediction tool, I have applied my theoretical knowledge to real-world applications. - Co-Coached Sagemont’s Elementary robotics team, the Lion Innovators, where we participated in monthly robotics competitions. During the 2024-25 Season our team qualified for the elementary U.S. Open and South-Florida State Championship Tournaments.
- Managed daily operations and program logistics as an Assistant Director, ensuring smooth delivery of curriculum and maintaining a high standard of student engagement and satisfaction. Worked with owner to support instructors, address parent inquiries, and implement strategic initiatives to enhance the learning environment.
- Led 8-week summer enrichment program on robotics, scripting, algorithms, and programming fundamentals through the use of Roblox Studio Lua scripting, Microsoft MakeCode, Lego Spike robotics, and Minecraft Modding.
- Educated 15 classes of students (pre-K to 5th grade) on coding, engineering, and software development at Sagemont Preparatory School, utilizing Vex robotics kits (Vex 123, Vex Go, Vex IQ), Sphero, VexCode VR, and TinkerCAD.
- Developed and delivered engaging curricula on Spheros, information technology, and coding fundamentals for an elementary group at NSU University School's afterschool program, boosting student interest and proficiency in coding principles.
